Today, we discussed our grades for the better part of the class. For some reason, the grades were mostly either As or Fs; there weren't many people that wer ein betwee. Ths meant that while the people who were doing their websites were doing so well, the people who were having troubles with their websites were up the creek. I had an 8.5 for this grading period, and had an overal grade of 9.3/10. For the rest of the period, we worked on our websites. During the FRC meeting, I worked some more on the robot costume hand. I nearly perfected the lengths of the fishing wire on the left hand, and got both sides ready to mount to the housing, and to accept wither a bar or a strip of cloth that the user's hand would grab onto in order to keep it from slipping off.
Today, we had the dreaded plastic tube Wednesday Challenge. Although we did much better than in pervious years, we were still out on the sun for the better part of the period. It was especially bad because while it was sprinkling during the latter half of the period last year, it was really hot, and the uniform for the day was the long sleeve shirt. Like last year, we lost, but we were only about 2 or so minutes late.
Wednesday Challenge 6: Tube Toss
Today, the class finished up the decond round of racing cardboard cars and then started on the third round. Afterwards, we worked on our websites. Dr. Neato gave Keilah and I some pictures from yesterday's Wednesday Challenge. Because we weren't really doing anyhting else, we just screwed around for a bit.
Today we took a look at the finished FRC robot that we had working on for the past 6 weeks. Afterwatds, we finished up the third and last round of cardboard car racing. We were supposed to have a scriimmage at La Canada Highschool, but because of the rain, it was postponed until Monday.
